| The property was scheduled to be auctioned by MK consultants on June 15, but has once again been postponed now until July 6, 2023. Marshal Rothman is in a legal dispute with the lender, so the auction may well be further postponed. I am still in contact with Open Space groups and the town of Fairfax, but I haven’t heard of any movement to buy out the property. If there are any of you who know of groups or philanthropic individuals that may have an interest, it’s possible that the 99 acres could be obtained for $2 million +. We are also looking into creating a non-profit land preservation corporation to allow tax deductible contributions for raising money to preserve this land. If anyone knows of an attorney who could provide advice on setting this up, let us know. |
