WE WON! MOST has announced that the fundraising campaign for the Wall property has reached its goal of $2.9 million to purchase and permanently protect the entire 99 acre property. The purchase and transfer of the property to the Town of Fairfax is targeted by the end of September.

It has been over 10 years of sustained effort to get this done – I looked back, and the first post on this site was April 2014. Many, many thanks to all the organizers, individual contributors and others who have helped over the last decade to save this property from development! And to MOST for stepping in and making it happen with the Town of Fairfax. This is something worth celebrating.

On that note, Fairfax Open Space is celebrating 20 years and this acquisition on September 7 for those interested.
